City of Hope has worked with us since 2016. This renowned non-profit organization wanted a digital assets management system for their archival collections that would enable librarians and curators to assemble and present online exhibits. We built some custom features for the site, such as an interactive map and a historical timeline. We are in the process of upgrading their DAMS site to the current version of Islandora.Customizations we built for the Archives site:Interactive Map: We built an interactive map of the Burbank, CA area that allows users to click specific points on the map to display data and historical facts pulled from metadata contained in the record. Historical Timeline: We built this timeline that allows administrators to add records and their date metadata to be displayed in order by the date. The timeline utilizes a pager to allow users to jump to a specific decade. The Historical Timeline displays significant events and milestones from 1912 to 1989. Digital Exhibits: We built their Digital Exhibits to allow administrators to select specific records as a collection and display them with their metadata, as a slideshow in a vertical image pager.
